We work with real-life examples throughout the workshop. During the second part, the attendees will work with their own epics, which can continue immediately after the workshop is completed.
This is a 1-day event, designed for any group that wants to understand and learn how to effectively work with large deliverables – i.e. Epics.
The workshop consists of two parts:
Unlike conventional methods, our approach is very practical. It goes beyond the theory and shows what it really takes to work with epics efficiently in real life. You also learn how different parts of different epics are prioritised against each other allowing for several epics to be delivered in parallel by the same delivery body.
The attendees leave the workshop with a clear understanding of the differences between a traditional large-project-approach and the lean-agile ways of working with epics. They also have a clear understanding of how to deliver an epic in the most effective manner, getting value out of every sub-deliverable (MVP).
A major benefit of completing this workshop is that you learn how to work with large deliverables, otherwise, known as EPICS. You will learn how to define them, deliver them and how to get real value out of every step in the process. This works miracles for your cash-flow.
Comprehensive understanding of the difference between an epic and a project. Unlike standard practice, you will learn exactly how to avoid delays and budget over-runs
You will learn how to avoid costly investigations prior to starting a large project, which helps you maximise the value right from the beginning
You will learn how to measure the effect and value of each sub-deliverable, which will ensure that the right value is delivered continuously during the delivery process
Prioritising between large initiatives is a difficult task. We show you how you can deliver several important initiatives in parallel without conflicts
The delivery of a successful workshop would be achieved through the following four steps:
This workshop can also be delivered as a course, where the attendees will follow a real-life case study instead of working with their own deliverables. In this case, there is no need for the pre-workshop preparations in Steps 1 & 2 below.
The workshop version is time-boxed with an organised approach and is based on pre-workshop preparations by you.
- We will provide you with relevant guidance that will assist in preparing the pre-workshop information to be used by us in this workshop
- We will review the results of the preparations provided by you at least one week prior to the workshop (It’s possible that further consultation with you, or your management, is required to enhance the preparations prior to the workshop)
- We will conduct the workshop in seven parts, as described below
- We will comprehensively document the insights and results of the workshop and furnish them to you for implementation
The duration of this workshop is two full days and the fee is fixed and pre-agreed. The workshop will be conducted by a highly-trained and certified Force Agile professional.
The workshop will be executed in three sessions:
This workshop will be led by one of our workshop leaders and will be conducted in English. All the documentation relating to the workshop will be in English.
It is preferable for the workshop session to be held in an external conference facility in a calm environment that ensures adequate focus. Conference-related costs are not included in the fee and will be borne by the customer.
